Horizon Line is easily one of my husband's and my favorite coffee places. They usually have a unique seasonal menu for beverages and offer several delicious tea options in addition to coffee. There is quite a bit of indoor seating - both bar height and regular table height. They are a low-waste establishment and offer cups for dine-in and Reusable glass jars for to-go.

Coffee was incredible, service was fantastic and the cafe was so beautiful to experience. We bought two cappuccinos to have in house and they were a perfect cup of coffee. We ended up getting a t-shirt for $25 which was quite a decent price for merchandise and two to-go drip coffees which they serve in glass reusable containers with cute cozies to keep them warm. Would happily recommend a visit to anyone visiting or driving through like we were!

This coffee shop is soooo good! I love it! I live 5 hours away or I'd visit every week. I love the unique drink menu. The employees are friendly and helpful. I also love thar they offer treats that are gluten and dairy free. The space could be bigger, considering how popular it is, but the aesthetic is good anyway. The Golden Snitch latte was just right. I always look forward to this place!

One of the best coffee shops in Des Moines. They take their espresso seriously and have some truly creative seasonal drinks available. Their attention to detail is really appreciated, and their conscience for the environment is great to see, using glass containers for to-go orders that you can bring back for discounts on future drinks.

Triple crown!! I am from Minnesota but if I lived in Des Moines I would be a regular here. The espresso was outstanding. Tasted so rich and delicious. I got an iced americano with oat milk and vanilla and it was made perfectly. Just the right amount of everything. Not too sweet or milky. The man who took our order was so kind. The pb and j cookie was delicious! Next time I’m in Des Moines I will be back! Just a note: bring your own cup if you can and you are taking your coffee to go! I didn’t know this so they did provide a jar for me. They are cutting down on plastic waste ✌️

Stopped by horizon on my way to the walnut and was truly the best decision. I’ve never had such a good ice latte in my life, and to top it off it was in a nice jar. Idk what coffee they use , or the milk but it was 10/10 highly recommend.

I tried the Lavender Thyme Iced Latte and loved the twist. It was shaken and strained, so no ice watered it down. Smooth espresso (not burned, great roast) with lavender and thyme balanced perfectly. Plenty of seating even though it was busy, and the to-go jar was a fun touch. Prices felt very reasonable coming from the Twin Cities. We had kids with us; not exactly “kid friendly,” but no issue bringing them. Overall, creative drinks, solid coffee, and a great stop.

The flavor combos are wild and they work beautifully. Our lattes were the perfect temp. If we lived here, this would be our constant jam. Nice work!

Stopped at this coffee shop before heading home from a weekend trip and it was the perfect way to end the Des Moines experience. The ambiance of the coffee shop is fantastic, it feels like this place belongs in Colorado. The workers were so nice and the actual cups they use for coffee is so unique! If we’re ever in Des Moines we will definitely be back here.
